Adrian is a master musician - a multi-instrumentalist specialising in the shakuhachi Zen flute. His shakuhachi music is heartfelt and conjures an atmosphere of peace, and spaciousness. In the 1990s he lived 8 years in Japan, studying with renowned shakuhachi master Yokoyama Katsuya and with Zen teachers. He then lived several years in Brazil where he became immersed in the healing music rituals of the Amazon Forest. From this journey with medicine music, Adrian has received a collection of more than 180 original medicine songs and chants, bringing together sacred teachings from the spiritual linages of East and West. At Medicine Festival he will present a 3-hour musical ceremony with a broad ensemble of guest musicians and singers.

Live African dance music, fusing Congolese guitar + Gambian kora virtuosity with UK electronic sensibilities to create uplifting, dancefloor- friendly new music for a new generation of music fans. Afriquoi are an underground sensation, bringing an uplifting fusion of African music and live electronics. The masterful 5-piece live show combines Gambian kora, Congolese guitar + Mandinka percussion styles with electronic music drawing on house, garage, disco, soul + jungle to create something entirely unique. Based in London, Afriquoi is a UK afro supergroup, with every musician a band leader in their own right. With members ranging in age across 3 decades, originating from Africa, the Carribean and the UK, Afriquoi is true fusion music in the best sense of the word, bringing together a vast depth of musical knowledge, culture and life experience. Formed in 2011 out of London’s cultural melting pot, they have established a cult gobal fanbase, loved by fans both of African and electronic music. Their afro house classic ‘Kudaushe’ has become an established favourite in clubs all over the world, and they have toured all over Europe, with huge crowds singing along to their songs on major stages at Glastonbury, WOMAD, Dimensions, Fusion, Boomtown, Shambala, Bestival, Secret Garden Party and the London 2012 Olympics. The debut album ‘Kolaba’ was released on 11th September 2015 on Wormfood Records, followed up by ‘Abobo Nation Part 1‘ in May 2016 and ‘Starship/Can I Know You‘ (featuring acclaimed jazz saxophonist Shabaka Hutchings and Ghanaian drumming troupe Kakatsitsi) in May 2017. 2nd EP ‘Time is A Gift Which We Share All the Time’ dropped in 2020 on French label Mawimbi, with new EP ‘Leave Your Vanity’ coming out in early 2023, including remixes by Zed Bias, Shy One, WheelUP and others. The Afriquoi DJ set with live percussion has become something of a phenomenon in its own right, tearing up the floor with a wide spread of Afriquoi’s influences, from Oumou Sangare and Francis Bebey right through to Louie Vega and Midland. Aquatic Ape are an alternative hip hop duo. They infuse their ambient and experimental hip hop sound with their love for philosophy and poetry. Astra Laguna are a music duo made up of Caroline Mackintosh and Bummela who live and breathe sound. Since they met 8 years ago they have been weaving sonic magic and composing songs together. Originating from South Africa, they are world travellers who have a passion for studying different spiritual and musical traditions and are avid collectors of instruments and songs that inspire them. BAMBOO CEDAR OAK features Guillermo Martinez, Hiroki Okano and Nigel Shaw, an international trio of flute players from Dartmoor, California and Japan.  A unity of spirit and true sense of brotherhood is evoked as they move between gentle flute pieces, traditional Buddhist and native Mexican prayers and powerful drumming chants. This music is enriched by the diversity of ancient sounds from their many traditional instruments and the understanding that in essence we all sing the same songs.

Baque Luar is a London-based collective of female and non-binary vocalists and percussionists from diverse backgrounds, united by their love of Brazilian and Afro-Brazilian roots music. Benedick George is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the UK, who has lived in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Accordingly, his music is a paean to different forms of expansion within the human psyche, and to the challenges and opportunities encountered along the way. Benedick takes inspiration from jazz and electronic music, Andean folkloric music, Brazilian samba and bossa nova, and African rhythmic trance, amongst other musical traditions. Atop it all sits soulful vocal and handpan melodies. His genre-spanning Purusha Sound EP, released in 2019, invites you to dance in celebration and pause for reflection in equal measure. BHUME (meaning Earth) - weaves the unique talents of Lauren Wilce and Alison Sudol, into an elemental sonic journey, helping both children and adults to rest in deep dreaming and stillness. This ancestral bridge is steeped in the wisdom of the several traditions of ceremonial song Lauren has been initiated into over 20 years internationally, and her extensive work with holding and preserving rare custodial knowledge. Alison has released 4 albums and 2 EPs under the moniker A Fine Frenzy and her own name, and is an ambassador for numerous world conservation organizations. She carries an ethereal vulnerability and compassion into the music. Their songs, spacious enough to hold both light and shadow, evoke rich, nourishing women’s medicine.

DJ Billy Blanks' musical passions traverse the genres of dance music. His weekly Bruk Radio show on Sub.FM, co-run with the Bruk collective, spans Techno, House, Garage, Jungle, Dub and all that sits between. For this set at Medicine, he will be playing 1990s Garage and Jungle. He co-founded 'Bruk' in 2004 - a collective of DJs and a club night, running events in London and Bristol. Bruk club events in London venues included Fabric, Exchange and Corsica Studios, while Bristol events took place in venues including Native, Motion and Take Five Cafe.

She has been played on BBC Radio 2, BBC4 and Radio 6 Music. Alongside making mythic music Boe also facilitates witches circles, screen addiction courses, secure attachment groups, creative mentoring, and her latest project: The Labyrinth of Love.

Briony Greenhill is a teaching artist, “one of the world’s leading proponents of collaborative vocal improvisation (CVI)” - The Guardian. CVI is the art of co-creating vocal music in the moment. Briony's teaching has evolved from the lineage of Bobby McFerrin, Rhiannon and others. Her students call her a Master, her work life changing. Briony's artistry and teaching are rooted in her Earth-Based Spirituality. She has released 4 entirely improvised albums, and her debut studio album Crossing the Ocean featured in The Guardian, Mojo, Radio 3 and 4. Briony is now performing a new body of work, Symbiocene Mama, about brining a child into this world at this time, and the depth of change needed.

Chris is a certified 5 Rhythms teacher, embodiment & leadership coach and a master in zen meditation where he trained in Japan and New York with Soto Zen masters since 1999. He has been teaching breath and movement practices for 21 years, working and apprenticing alongside Gabrielle Roth, founder of the 5 Rhythms movement practice. He is the founder of OPO, sound and meditation studio dedicated to global resonance and inner peace. Chris’s formative years were shaped by growing up in the conflicts of Belfast. David is co-founder of Beats Antique, a trio born in the San Francisco performance underground, Burning Man, and West Coast Circus Bass music scene. David is also co-founder of Dirtwire, a fusion of experimental Bass Music and back porch folk music from around the globe. Deer Jade's dazzling talent as a DJ and producer has solidly established her on the international scene over the past years. The Swiss and French DJ, producer and born-traveler, who had lived in 10 different cities before the age of 22, is currently playing at the most important festivals and clubs around the world. Deer Jade's warm presence, infectious smile and constant dancing supercharges the atmosphere to galactic levels, embarking us into an hypnotic and transcendental journey.

Born in the Southwestern Andes, multi-instrumentalist and producer Derrok captures Chilean nature through music. His Live Act blends electric guitar, flutes, and other instruments with electronic elements and loops. Derrok has performed at major festivals like Fusion, Ozora, Womad, Mutek, and Fauna Primavera, touring Latin America and Europe. In summer 2023, he had a residency at Scorpios Mykonos. Founder of ‘Quinto Fuego,’ a cultural collective and record label in Pucón, Chile, Derrok supports the downtempo/organic scene and local artists. An active figure in the South American electronic scene, he continually experiments and nurtures new talent in organic electronic music.

Deya Dova is an international touring artist, visionary, singer, and music producer. Originating from the remote Nullarbor desert of South Australia, Deya taught herself music sitting around fires under immense desert starscapes, singing straight from her soul. Over the last 7 years Deya Dova has recorded live in nature at 44 ancient locations on the Earth’s energy lines across the planet. She has become an extraordinary advocate for sacred activism and conscious awakening. Co producing with her husband, Hamilton Barnett, together they fuse ancient songlines with the futurism of Global Bass music. Since 2008, East Forest has used music to guide listeners through modern journeys of deep introspection. Ellowen is an Irish musician, writer & holistic therapist devoted to a heart-, soul- & soil-centered way of being. A member of Tau & The Drones of Praise, she is also a writer & musician in her own right, whose soul-songs are odes to the mystery, to the demons and the fire within, and to the beauty of life on earth. Her works, rendered with an unfiltered honesty, are portals of remembrance, cast as spells to touch the cells of the Earth that we are. The debut Ellowen album releases late 2024.

London based folk band, not fishermen. Evolution of Fishermen are a five-piece folk band, brought together by a mutual love of storytelling, unique harmony and original folk songs. After having trained together as Actor-Musicians, the group formed in 2021 and have since embedded themselves in the London folk scene. The band have managed a successful string of gigs over the last year including festivals such as Wilderness and Deershed and notable London venues such as Green Note and ICC Hammersmith. In May this year the band released their debut EP ‘Days Like These’ consisting of four original tracks which were recording with producer Gus White. The EP was launched to a sold-out show in the St Bartholomew the Great, London.

Franko Heke, of Ngāpuhi Māori and Italian descent, is a musician known for his unique fusion of mantra, rock, electronica and reggae ‘Cosmic Kirtan’. Influenced by Xavier Rudd, Michael Jackson, Guns N' Roses, Cat Stevens, Krishna Das, and Metallica, Franko's music career has taken him on tours across the world. Born in the 1980s, Franko's early dreams were split between music and sports, but music ultimately won his heart. He transitioned from a rock'n'roll lifestyle to a more mindful approach, embracing meditation, yoga, and breathwork. I travelled across Cuba for 2 months on a motorbike and learned to play the maraca, moved to Paris learned French , became a ski instructor, learned Russian, broke my back, died for 5 minutes, came back to life, realised I wanted to do music, struggled with mental health and thoughts of not wanting to be here, moved to Amsterdam, learned Dutch and healed those struggles, went to South Africa for 4 months in pursuit of happiness & healing, returned full of joy and realised I wanted to make music for people like YOU to feel more joyous, free, light and loved. K'boko, a Brazilian artist based in Berlin, is a DJ, producer, percussionist, music therapist, and social worker from Brazil. Specializing in afrodiasporic bass music, his beats seamlessly blend organic Afro-Brazilian roots with digital and electronic influences, drawing inspiration from afrodiasporic sounds from all over the globe. As a percussionist, he has collaborated with artists such as Guy One( GHA), Alemayehu Eshete (ETI), Idris Ackamoor (USA) , Polyversal Souls (GER) and more.

Koroleko, meaning “traditional” in the Bambara language (also known as Bamanakan), is a thrilling, original, and contemporary West African music band; that has performed extensively across the UK and Europe and is headed by the charismatic and talented multi-instrumentalist Moussa Dembele, a griot from Burkina Faso and Mali. The band is currently made up of six phenomenal musicians from Africa and Europe. Moussa performs on balafon, kora, N'goni, percussion and vocals; and is accompanied by a kick drummer, a djembe player, a saxophonist, and a bass player. The band have been enrapturing audiences for the past three years with their infectious rhythms and energetic performances

Mohamed Errebbaa was born in Rabat, Moroccan musician and Master in the GNAWA world. He spent a decade travelling throughout Morocco, studying the diverse regional musical traditions under some of the leading musicians in the country, becoming especially passionate about the three-stringed Gnawa bass lute, the Guembri, before launching his international career. he has collaborated with many leading international artists. He worked and performed with artists Trevy Felix, Nelly Stharre, Antonia Vai, Martin Signeur and Justin Adams, mixing traditional African music with the sounds of the wider world. Mohamed has already performed at festivals worldwide including Shambala, Greenbelt, Musicport, WOMAD (Uk), Bergenfest (Norway), Respect fest etc.

Mollie Mendoza and Harmony Sunshine are an ​experienced duo of devotional singer-songwriters ​whose collaborative songs echo the heartbeat of the ​earth. Mose is based in Guatemala where cacao ceremonies and ecstatic dance have had a major influence on his productions and DJ style. It is here that he founded regular cacao dances where members of the community have the opportunity to journey deep into dance while held in a ceremonial container, free of alcohol. Beyond the multicultural rhythms and the steady hypnotic beat, Mose weaves ephemeral chanting of sacred songs and calls to love, kindness and compassion, often bringing in live musicians to create something improvisational connected with that particular place and time. He creates with the intention to set a foundation for self discovery and the cultivation of a present minded state which offers new insights and deeper clarity in ones purpose. When he is not touring the world or playing these special events in Guatemala, he spends his time going into extended periods of retreat and silence, only to emerge with a deeper, truer and more refined sound. Othon ◯ Vaun is a brand new innovative collaboration between Greek producer, composer & DJ Othon (he/him) and Jamaican descendant Kirtan guide & sound healer Vaun (they/them) Othon ◯ Vaun brings together traditional Kirtan with cutting-edge sound design and electronic cross-genre soundscapes. Musically, energetically and conceptually, we aim to transcend preconceived ideas, merge past with future, intersect stillness with movement and melancholy with ecstasy. The project has started manifesting organically through offerings and experimentation in the PapaLoko community and in London venues such as FOLD and E1. Othon ◯ Vaun have observed how bringing this offering in the underground club scene has brought more awareness and presence in the crowd and how it elevates and transforms the whole party experience. We are currently working on an album, which we are planning to finish in autumn and aim to take this experience to festivals and venues worldwide.

Peia Luzzi is an American born song collector, writer and multi-instrumentalist based in the mountains of Appalachia. Like water from a deep well, she draws inspiration from her ancestral roots of Celtic and Old World European folk music. With the voice of a lark, Peia dances nimbly from Child Ballads and 17th C. Gaelic laments, to Waulking Songs, and Bulgarian mountain calls. She has traveled & studied extensively over the past 10 years to reconnect with her own ancestral song tradition. Uncovering melodies wrinkled & wise with time, while taking care to honor their language and stories. Peia brings a piece of herself to each song she carries. Peia's voice soars like the wind as she sings a love letter to our Earth & an ode to humanity.
