Moving away from the concept of ‘training’ the voice, instead we will come into relationship with our most honest expression of the moment. We will explore the voice in all of its forms, from creative expression and improvisation, to methods of release work with sound. We will sing old polyphonic folk songs and listen to the songs that want to be born of the moment. This work is for those who wish to explore their voice and body to release constricted energy and connect to their authentic creative expression. You do not need any previous vocal experience to attend. |
BIO:
The Listening Voice is a trio of female singers of unique improvisational song through deep attunement to each other and the moment. Katya, India and Bel also sing original pieces and folk songs gathered from around the world. They host Listening Voice initiations, workshops and retreats in which participants can experience profound connection to their own essence, each other, our ancestors and lands, through the power of embodied listening and the voice.
