BIO:
Shoal and The Seabird (Jack Durtnall and Ben Cross) met at the Totnes Cinema jam on a Sunday morning in late winter. Rippling, intricate piano textures and soaring soprano saxophone tones weave together in instrumental pieces alongside enchanting folk song re-workings and finely wrought, harmony-rich originals. Expansive, heartful, tender, soaring, grounded, uplifting are just some of the qualities with which Shoal and The Seabird’s music has been described, as the duo now expands to a band.
