BIO:
Cassandre Balbar is a bagpiper and recorder player. Classically trained in a French conservatoire, she specialises in folk, intercultural, and improvised music. She is a member of several bands including the UK's only Southern Italian band, Amaraterra, the international transglobal fusion band Världens Band, and is currently writing new material for her duo with accordion Phil Alexander. Cassandre also lectures in ethnomusicology at University of Leuven in Belgium.
