Please note that this application is for Guardian (volunteer) roles only - please do not use this form to enquire about any other contributions or offerings, or any roles other than those listed below.
Each year, Medicine brings people from all over the world to weave a prayer together. We dance, sing, learn and give thanks to the land, celebrating indigenous wisdom, and the magic of our surroundings. At Medicine we cultivate an ethos of community and reciprocity, and our Guardians are at the heart of that, offering time, energy and care that ripples through the festival as it comes to life and unfolds.
We are so grateful that you are interested in taking on responsibilities, and contributing to the smooth running of the festival. We have already done one round of recruitment for Guardians, but we do have a few spots in the following teams still available:
Ops: Gate guardians (traffic) , Arrival guardians (wrist-banding)
Sustainability and waste
Food and Beverage
You can read the Guardian Role Descriptions here.
We will offer you a role based on teams that still have the most availability.
All guardians are required to work three x 6 hour shifts (or three x 10 hour shifts if during the Build and/or Break)
Please think carefully about which roles you would like to take on, and any personal qualities, life or professional experiences, that you can bring to these roles. Take some time to give us detail on the application, so that we can best place you in a role you’ll find enjoyable and rewarding.
In return for your work and support you will receive a Festival Ticket and one meal for each 6 hour shift, or 3 meals for each 10 hour shift.
All Guardians are required to pay a deposit of £300 within 3 weeks of their application being accepted, which you will get back (provided you completed your scheduled shifts) within 20 working days after the festival - if you have paid or part paid for ticket, we are unable to offer a refund on this - so please carefully consider if you will be able to sell it before applying.
We are unable to provide support with transport arrangements. Your ticket will offer access to the general campsite - please have your own camping equipment.
Please apply as soon as possible for the best chance of securing a place.
